Welcoming the new, the old, and everything in between in 2013…

2012 was a good year for me, my family and my team at the Suyati Group of companies. I am extremely grateful for all the blessings, good wishes and support from my family, clients, vendors, friends and well-wishers. We wouldn’t be where we are without them.

Personally, it has been a rewarding year for me with my family settling down well in Kochi in Kerala. We have been in Kochi now for over seven years, and we are thrilled to be part of this lovely green (still green!) city that is growing to be socially and environmentally conscious. We have been able to ‘show off’ our city to our friends, families and clients who visited us in 2012. Kerala is now the most searched for destination in India , and has even overtaken the Taj Mahal!

Professionally too, it has been a great year with Suyati growing by over 50%. We secured and executed intellectually challenging projects, delighted our customers, and strengthened our core product development expertise across multiple technology platforms. Our content business has grown over 200%, and we have had the opportunity to service 50+ clients in 2012. We hope to grow our 75+ team in 2013.

What do I wish for in 2013?

– To uphold our customers’ faith, our employees’ goodwill and our vendors’ trust. – To inculcate our culture and value system into our team and demonstrate it during our interactions with our clients, fellow employees and vendors. – To encourage entrepreneurship in our community and continue to contribute to social development in our own little ways.

I want to end this blog with a quote by Maya Angelou that my friend and mentor Randy recently posted on Facebook – “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
