Thanks to AWS cloud, most of the Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Community Cloud and Analytics Cloud will be made available to local customers from within Australia. Salesforce Asia-Pacific regional studies reveal that in the last quarter, APAC has been the fastest-growing Salesforce hub. This growth will be further fostered by expanding its infrastructure footprint in liaison with Amazon’s cloud. Leveraging the AWS cloud bestows Salesforce with the potential to deliver secure, reliable, and rapid intelligent customer services.

Until now, Salesforce has been delivered to Australian customers via offshore infrastructure. With AWS, Salesforce is working on its global infrastructure expansion strategy and the entry of Salesforce into AWS Sydney region is part of this joint venture. AWS already has a strong tie-up with some of the leading Salesforce services including Heroku, Salesforce IQ, Marketing Cloud Social Studio, and the Salesforce IoT Cloud. The cloud deal signed by Salesforce and AWS last year aims at empowering Salesforce to make its infrastructure available “more quickly and efficiently” across the globe. Marc Benioff, Salesforce CEO says, “There is no public cloud infrastructure provider that is more sophisticated or has more robust enterprise capabilities for supporting the needs of our growing global customer base.”
The AWS Sydney region will be available to Salesforce customers by the second half of 2017. Salesforce can count on some of the top brands in Australia including L’Oréal, Kellogg’s, Vodafone, Telstra, Australia Post, Service NSW to name a few.
