My first trip to Australia, couldn’t have come at a better time. Nor could it have come in better company. Some15+ tech firms from Kerala, along with Suyati Technologies have been in Australia on a trip organized to perfection by Kerala IT and GTech.
As we grow by leaps and bounds, (Suyati is just crossing the 100 employees mark) this has been an opportune moment to explore business opportunities in Australia. With me is Abhishek, a young turk at Suyati, who’s also in Australia for the first time. Our first stop was at CeBIT Australia. Thanks to Kerala IT, we set up a stall at this prestigious event. They even arranged meetings with the investment promotion councils of 3 states in Australia – NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
After the fruitful and smoothly organized time in NSW and Victoria, we are now in Brisbane, Queensland.
In Australia, we’ve had a wonderful experience. Not only have we gained leads for 3 of our brands – Suyati, Content Crossroads and Voraka, we’ve also generated considerable interest for our 4th and newest, SoCXO, a social media service for senior managers, business owners and executives. It’s also been a pleasure to finally experience the culture, food, and colours of Australia first hand.
I’d like to convey my special thanks to Mr. P H Kurian, (Principal Secretary, IT Department, Govt. of Kerala), Mr. Girish Babu (CEO, Technopark), Mr. Vasudevan (Sr. Manager – Business Development, Technopark) and Renjith Ramanujam (CEO, GTech). It is their efforts that have helped put Kerala, and Suyati, on the IT map of Australia. What’s more, the presence of all the participating CEOs, as well as other company representatives have made this trip a learning, mutually beneficial, and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
