Salesforce Winter ‘19 Release Notes are available and it is time to reward that excitement by taking a look at the most beneficial new features and functionalities. The new features promise to offer connected customer experience and assist in strengthening customer relationships.

  1. Lightning Feature Enhancements 

The most talked about features are about a bunch of lightning enhancements. Plenty of new enhancements have been released, urging the Salesforce Classic user to make a move over to Lightning. Using these Lightning features you are at liberty to choose a display density and control the way you want to view data without affecting the page layout; you can successfully recover your unsaved data irrespective of how your session ends; you can locate a particular data from your long list of views using the new search option in no time; using the change owner button it is now possible to assign a new owner to multiple (over 200) selected cases, leads or customer objects at a time; share your list views with other user groups in your organization; using joined reports provide multiple views of a single object; turn comments on YouTube into cases by directly tracking and responding to customers online; etc.

  1. Einstein Analytics Feature Enhancements

With the upgrades and enhancements to Salesforce Einstein you can easily customize your email insights to suit business needs. These insights can then be used to connect with future prospects. You can easily access them on the go, make important updates, and decide on taking appropriate action based on the insights such as edit record or send emails. Similarly, Einstein Discovery, now completely integrated with Einstein Analytics, makes it easier to explore and combine multiple datasets, discovering and investigating insights faster, all through a single interface.

You can now supercharge your bot using auto-launched flows. Calling these flows using your bot dialogs, updating a contact, opening a case, or triggering a journey is all made easy using the chat conversation. With all Einstein bots now sharing a unified intent set, each bot version is capable of learning from the unified set. Once a bot identifies a match for the customer’s precise input on chat, it locates and launches the corresponding dialog. All these new features provide better insights and offer maximum flexibility.

  1. Pardot Enhancements

Pardot now has a smarter marketing automation platform in Lighting Experience. The update offers a single platform for both sales as well as marketing executives to use. Viewing and syncing Salesforce and Pardot campaigns is made easier through this platform, offering to manage campaign process efficiently, and providing a higher reporting functionality and insight levels. Leveraging Pardot attribution models through Salesforce, you can use customized campaign influence for all your Salesforce campaigns as well. All this provides a streamlined view and increases visibility of the prospect’s activities and engagement history.

  1. IoT Enhancements 

Using the new component of IoT insights (Lightning), it is possible to now add Salesforce IoT data to any of your pages in Salesforce. The troubleshooting features that have been added allow to send and receive event messages via the app. The standard Lightning component improves your CRM data by exhibiting Salesforce IoT data.

  1. Service Cloud Enhancements 

With the feature – LiveMessage experience (Lightning) – your customer service levels take a leap. Proving to be a game changer, this feature seamlessly provides an integrated experience via the Lightning service console. You can now engage with customers using Facebook Messenger as well as SMS. The Lightning Flow for Service assists in alerting agents in the field to take necessary steps, sharing responsibility with service contractors through the dispatcher console and much more.

  1. Marketing Cloud Enhancements 

Marketing Cloud is the primary platform to delight customers. Here, Salesforce’s new release – the Social Studio functionality – allows you to receive real-time as well as scheduled alerts. This makes it easier to know when certain criteria have been met. Measuring the impact of every interaction is made easy, which can be leveraged to deliver better results in future.

  1. Health Cloud Enhancements 

Health Cloud has been enhanced by infusing added usability components and features. The cloud now seamlessly supports interaction between the payers and healthcare service providers. Two lightning components have been added that support utilization management. The patient card and timeline has also been enhanced. Service providers will now be able to submit as well as track their request for authorization, whereas payers will be able to process requests easily, ensuring proper patient care at the right time.
