The All New Office 365 Features- Research Made Easy
Microsoft made a significant announcement this week which is going to improve research and writing efforts. Now, Office 365 apps will get a slew of cloud-powered intelligent services that assist writers in coming up with better research papers. The Researcher will now allow the users to access the Bing Knowledge Graph to identify and add sources and content without leaving Word.
Check out this short video from Microsoft and see how it looks like:
Editor is now revamped with the inputs from Microsoft’s linguists, with advanced proofing and editing suggestions designed to help users improve their writing. While the Editor has troubled writers in the past with auto-fill and auto-correct options, and poor sensing of abbreviations, the technology behind Editor has now undergone a drastic makeover. Editor is now integrated with a new Office-created intelligence engine that utilizes the best of local and online machine learning and linguistic technologies. Microsoft research handholds with Bing search to give the users a better editing experience.
The coming months will witness these updates getting rolled out to Office 365, says Microsoft.
The Researcher will be available for Word 2016 users this month. Editor is expected to arrive in August, with extended capabilities planned to be released by end of 2016. The tech giant also has plans to expand Researcher to mobile platforms as well.
