We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and be proficient in analyzing complex business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating the implementation of innovative solutions. As an Insurance Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving our company’s growth and success by providing valuable insights and recommendations in the insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements related to insurance products and processes.
Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities within the insurance domain.
Create detailed business requirements documents and use cases.
Process Mapping and Optimization:
Develop process maps and workflow diagrams to visualize and understand insurance processes.
Identify bottlenecks and areas for process improvement, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Data Analysis:
Analyze insurance data sets to extract meaningful insights and trends.
Collaborate with data scientists and actuaries to perform risk assessments and pricing analysis.
Insurance Product Development:
Contribute to the design and development of insurance products, including policy wording and pricing strategies.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings.
System Integration:
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of insurance systems, including policy administration and claims processing platforms.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system changes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed documentation, including business requirement documents, user manuals, and training materials.
Generate regular reports and dashboards to track KPIs and monitor the performance of insurance products.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with insurance industry regulations and ensure that all insurance products and processes comply with relevant laws and guidelines.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent data analysis skills and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
Familiarity with insurance software and systems (e.g., policy administration, claims management, road assistance applications).
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Project management experience is a plus.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IIBA, LOMA) are a plus.
Knowledge or experience in the Salesforce CRM platform is a plus
