Suyati is now an ISO 9001:2008 certified company

Dream. Dare. Do – that is Suyati’s work principle in a nutshell.

It’s now official. And Suyati’s customer centric policies have been validated.

After a detailed 6-month process, TÜV SÜD, the world renowned certifying agency, has given Suyati’s Quality Management System, including its internal process for software development, its stamp of approval. For the management though, it was only a matter of time. After all, Suyati, like the ISO 9001:2008 framework, has had customer delight at the heart of all its endeavors since inception.

Team Suyati’s processes have always been validated by our customers, and the ISO framework is all set to enhance it. What’s more, we’ve been certified based on the guidelines of the US-based ANAB accreditation body, one of the most stringent among ISO accreditation bodies.

At the apex of Suyati’s mature quality management structure is a client feedback system, where clients rate our performance on 28 varied parameters. Every department at Suyati has its own quality objectives, as well as quality manuals, which are reviewed every quarter. In fact, there is a detailed internal audit conducted across the organization every 3 months.

Among the many quality objectives we maintain, one is to resolve issues quickly. The 1st response to tickets is within 6 hours, and the issue resolution is in 24 hours, unless it is a major bug. For developers, a key objective is to bring down bugs per feature so as to ensure that we deliver quality software products. The aim is to reduce the number of bugs reported per feature by 50%. In order to ensure timely deliveries to our customers, we measure schedule slippage for each sprint or release, which helps us ensure constant improvement.

Not by coincidence, a very recent rating from our client saw a stunning 93% satisfaction level. However, at Suyati we see that 7% as room for improvement! Our next target is the CMMI Level 3 certification, an initiative, which we plan to kick start soon. Watch this space!

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the driver of the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 series of top quality management standards. It offers a massive 18,000+ international standards for business, as well as government and society. The ISO is in fact a network of the national standards institutes of 160+ countries. While ISO provides the standards, the audit is conducted by a certification agency, in our case, TÜV SÜD, which has 800 offices around the world, and is perhaps the premier name in this industry.
